My music magazine, Contents page and double page spread...

Thursday 25th 10

My media product represents a particular group because of the way the magazine is set out using the different images of teenagers on the front and the many ways in which the font size of the text is displayed, this shows that my magazine is aimed at for teenagers who prefer rap and R&B music. Another reason why you could tell my magazine is aimed at teenagers and of the music group that prefer the R&B and rap music because of the colours, the way they give off an effect which can tell the audience that teenagers are the target for the magazine.




The type of media institution that might distribute my media product would be MTV base as this media institution mainly distrubutes music of R&B and rap. I believe they would choose my my magazine because it falls under that category. I have learnt from the technological process of constructing this product that I found it easier to create my magazine on certain programmes compared to others and that I had to think carefully about when I put all my peices of work together. I have learnt that I should of spent my time more wisely while structuring my magazine.

Today I will editing my music magazines double page spread.
Adding any information that is needed checking that the font size on these covers are at a reasonable size.
Im currently looking at other peoples covers and analysing them, comparing how they are to my magazine what i need to change.

Friday 15th 10

Today I was told that our next piece of coursework would be the designing of a music magazine. This magazine will have to consisit of a front pager, contents and a double page spread.

Today I will look up a few magazines and look at what these magazines have in common by comparing them to each other. After I have looked at these magazines I will have a rough idea of what I want my magazine to look like. For example. Which genre of music I will use and the target audience. I will also be using my own images for this coursework so I will ask a few friends to help me out with these pictures and I know a few of them have a lot of instuments and costumes I could use for the photos.

Thursday 10th 09

In todays lesson I will be looking at how I can adapt my magazine cover to make it look better. So far I have postioned my images where I would want them to be, now I will be adding text and creating different styles of backgrounds and borders for these images and the magazine front cover overall. On my magazine front cover I have also been editing my magazine title which I plan to finish soon...

In todays media lesson I will be taking pictures of students at work around the school that will go into my school magazine which will be aimed at students and parents.

In todays lesson I will be updating my blog and deciding what I would like my school magazine to look like. I will also be taking pictures to go into my school magazine about things that will be related to the people who my magazine will be aimed at, the people who my magazine will be aimed that are students at secondary school and parents.
